This video project centers around making an ad for a fictional product of our choice. I decided to make one for 'A Very Cool Hat.' The very cool hat is a portal that allows its user to grab any object they're thinking of from an alternate dimension and immediately transport it into their own dimension. The original copy of the object dissolves, replaced by the new copy.
I had storyboarded this project beforehand. Originally it featured my mom and brother, my dog, and my grandma, but in this final version I had my cousin swap for my grandma instead. I ended up doing the voice over as well as drawing and animating the product demonstration assets.
This project involved picking a small clip from a movie and attempting to refilm it while using the original audio. This was a lot of fun! I enjoyed editing this all together. My mother acted as Katniss for this skit, and since nobody else was available, I ended up using a collection of stuffed animals in order to act out the other characters.
