Modeler and Texture Maker
3D Modeling Class
Fall, 2024
After making my room model, I moved on to making a human model. This is a model of one of the characters who uses that room, Cerulean. Cerulean is a magical girl themed around the idea of 'charms'. He's a literal prince charming and he uses lots of clovers and other good luck charms. He's unnatural pretty, and he shows up to save those who are in danger.
This model wasn't designed for rigging, and though I think it looks great, it's certainly rough. I learned a lot from this model. The clothing is actually part of his skin, which made making parts like his sleeves and collar very difficult! This was a good learning experience, and my later model of him was much more functional as a result. I'm learning that sometimes it's better for parts to be seperate than part of the base model.
Cerulean also has a lot of textures. These are the textures for his eyes, the clovers on his outfit, his freckles, and his gemstone on his crown. All of these were drawn in Clip Studio.
For the room, I mostly used front and side views of real items. But to make Cerulean, I needed to make my own reference. I used the Persona 5 Strikers models for reference since I found a website that allows for people to look at 3D models. I needed something more simplistic than my typical art style, and I think this reference made for a very cute model!
